Early Detection of Cardio-Vascular Disease is Important! You may have Cardio-Vascular Disease and not even know it! Just knowing your total cholesterol is no longer enough! At the Optimal Health & Wellness Center we have developed a comprehensive program to determine your specific risk factors and medical needs. Our program includes an extensive medical history questionnaire completed and reviewed by telephone prior to your initial visit with Dr. Basaldua. At that visit, a complete physical examination will be performed. All necessary diagnostic labs and procedures will be done including a complete metabolic assessment, EKG, diagnostic labs including an advanced lipid profile test and intracellular vitamin analysis. Since heredity influences treatment, we include a blood test to determine your genotype. In house stress test, echocardiogram, and advanced carotid ultrasound can be done when necessary. Results from these tests allow Dr. Basaldua to develop a personalized plan of care for you. Our dietician will educate you on proper nutrition and diet, offering support online or by phone. Quarterly follow-up visits are performed to monitor your success and progress with your personalized treatment plan. Repeat labs are performed as needed.
